Peningkatan Keterampilan Menyimak Melalui Media Power Point

Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak melalui penggunaan media Power Point untuk siswa kelas 2 SD Negeri Menguri Kulon Progo. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (Classroom Action Research) dengan model Kemmis dan McTaggart yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 2 SD Negeri Menguri, Kulon Progo yang berjumlah 8 siswa. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket penilaian diri dan tes. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dan analisis kuantitatif. Analisis kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisis proses pembelajaran menyimak dan analisis kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengukur rerata tingkat keterampilan menyimak siswa serta persentase dalam proses menyimak di setiap siklus. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media Power Point dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak siswa. Selama menggunakan media Power Point, siswa terlihat lebih antusias dan aktif dalam mendengarkan cerita. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat pada aktivitas menyimak pada siklus I menunjukkan persentase sebesar 60,1% dan meningkat menjadi 76,5% (meningkat sebesar 16,4%) pada siklus II. Selain itu juga dapat dilihat dari hasil rata-rata keterampilan menyimak siswa pada kondisi awal yaitu sebesar 57,2 meningkat menjadi 64,4 (meningkat sebesar 7,2) pada siklus I, kemudian meningkat lagi menjadi 87,2 (meningkat sebesar 22,8) pada siklus II.
