Peningkatan Minat Membaca Menggunakan Media Cerita Bergambar pada Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia Siswa Kelas 1 SD Negeri Bringin

Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya minat siswa dalam membaca sehingga siswa kurang lancar dalam membaca. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan media cerita bergambar di harapkan ketertarikan dan minat siswa dalam membaca meningkat. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan oleh guru di tempat mengajar, dengan penekanan pada penyempurnaan atau peningkatan praktik dan proses dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas I SD Negeri Bringin yang berjumlah 35 siswa. Teknik Analisis Data Teknik analisis data yang digunakan peneliti dalam Penilitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) ini adalah teknik deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data yang diperoleh dari hasil tes yang berbentuk uraian yaitu data kuantitatif. Sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, lembar kuesioner dan lembar observasi. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data dari perbaikan membaca pada siswa kelas I SD Negeri Bringin melalui media cerita bergambar yang telah dilaksankan dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa media cerita bergambar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa kelas I SD Negeri Bringin. Berdasarkan data pra siklus diketahui rata-rata nilai membaca sebanyak 40,00% , mengalami peningkatan menjadi rata-rata 72,23%, kemudian kembali mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II rata-rata nilai membaca menjadi 88,35%. Hasil rata-rata minat membaca pada siklus II ini sudah sesuai dengan indicator keberhasilan yang telah ditetapkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu rata-rata hasil angket minat membaca sebanyak 80%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan membaca dapat ditingkatkan melalui media cerita bergambar pada siswa SD Negeri Bringin
