Abstract
Peningkatan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika Materi Lingkaran menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah Kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tlogomulyo Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021”. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini didasari dari rendahnya kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada mata pelajaran matematika kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tlogomulyo. Tujuan perbaikan pembelajaran adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tlogomulyo. Peneliti melaksanakan perbaikan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBL) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Materi yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran ini adalah materi lingkaran. Siklus I difokuskan pada sub materi Panjang Busur Lingkaran, sedangkan siklus II pada sub materi “Luas Juring Lingkaran”. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah penggunaan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah pada materi Lingkaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Tlogomulyo. Pada siklus I kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sebesar 60,94%, berikutnya pada siklus II sebesar 80,45%. Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 19,51%.
